"Coincidental Email"
So, I'm sitting here doing research on The Shining to do the page based on the movies, the book, and the Stanley Hotel. Naturally, I message my friend, 'V' because she is the biggest Stephen King fan in the history of mankind. Anyway, I was lazy and I wanted her to do some research for me.

Now, 'V' used to go to some message boards to talk to readers about future books and things, but has pretty much avoided message boards in recent months. Hell, I cant even get her to post on OUR message board.

Anyway, she starts looking for some info for me about The Shining Preface because I wanted to put it on the site word for word, because I thought it was funny. So, she goes to Wikipedia and as the page loads, she receives an email.

SUBJECT: an email alert -  Topic Reply Notification - Best and Worst Stephen King Movies
Now keep in mind, that 'V' had it set up so that when someone posts in this particular thread of this forum, she'll receive an email about it.  The thread in question has been dead for YEARS... Meaning it's been buried and forgotten. The last post was on Sat Mar 13, 2004 3:35 pm.

That was over 3 freakin' years ago, and someone all of a sudden responds, BASHING Jack Nicholson and The Shining in part of the post. She receives this message while doing research for me on The Shining.

"A lot of people died..."
I' ALWAYS have the television on when working on a project. I need the background noise.

I was typing up the Poltergeist page intro. On the television, I had my Sopranos episodes on. I just got season 5, and I was watching through them while working on the site.

Anyway, in one of the episodes, Uncle Junior goes insane and starts talking to an old lady who starts talking about a night club that, back in the day burnt to the ground. So, that's going on in the background while I'm typing the Poltergeist page, and I got to the 'A lot of people died' part. The moment I finished typing the word, 'died', the old lady on TV said, the EXACT same sentence, "A lot of people died." WTF? Needless to say, I was a bit freaked out.

"Roofing?"
I'm at work, and we aren't busy right now, so I decided to do some research on the actual events that had taken place in the Amityville house during the Lutzes' 28 day stay. I've been trying to complete at least one web page per week, so I really wanted to get the Amityville page started.

So, I'm sitting there reading, and then the mailman came in to deliver the mail like he did everyday.  He gives me the mail, I sort through it, and a couple of envelopes were delivered to me by mistake. They belonged to the business next door. One of it was junk mail, but the other one was from a roofing company. The company was
Lutz Roofing.

Oh, and by the way, the date is March fifteenth. 3-15.
