Beyond Message Board Upgraded!

This one has been a long time coming. I was using PHPBB2 since the site was created back in 2004. I’ve finaly upgrated to PHPBB3.

There’s a lot of new features for our members.

Friends lists, attachment uploading, thread subscriptions, RSS, and a lot of other crap are included that I havn’t even looked into yet.

Ouija Chronicles Added!

The Ouija section of the beyond has been completely worked visually, and we’ve added some new things aw well.

First off, we’ve brought back “Entity Registration”. We got rid of it a cople years ago because I thought it was a pain in the ass to do. But, that was before I discovered Wordpress. So, it’s back.

Secondly, The Homemmade Boards, have also been moved to the the new blog.

Beyond Questions have been added to the mix. These are questions that ONLY myself and a few others know the answer to. They are designed to test Ouija users and their ability to gain information from the things that they communicate with. (At this time, no questions are posted, but I expect to have them up within the next couple of days.)

Ouija Chronicles is also something new that has been addded to the site. The plan is to hopefully get some Ouija users helping with experiments with talking boards in the future, and posting about it on the blog.

Lastly, the entire Ouija section has been redesigned artwork wise. Even if you’re not into the board, I hope you can enjoy yhe new images I’ve done to spice the whole thing up.

New Facebook Fan Page!

My new friend Christy set up a Frickin’  Facebook fan page for The Beyond!

She’s in charge of it, and is doing it to connect with more people who are into spooky stufff, and best of all, I can actually enjoy it along with everyone else because I don’t have any responsibilities with the damned thing!

Sitemap Redesigned!

This one’s pretty simple. I never liked the old sitemap, and I wanted something more funcional.

I used a Wordpress blog once again to make it easy, and it also gave the site a little bonus. I set the new Sitemap up to have its own RSS feed, but it draws from ALL of our RSS feeds, and is now like a ‘Master’ feed that updates no matter what is updated on the site!

Beyond Search Engine Installed!

What it is, is a Google Custom Search designed to allow readers to simply pick a topic, and have it do the work to find it on our site. Easy enough?

I’ve installed the search bar on MOST of the pages on the site for easy access. The only pages that DO NOT have the search function are the poages that contain a form for people to fill out.

The Beyond search is also connected to ourt new Awards Program, where other respected sites will also be recognized in the search.
