Jen… There’s no need to be insulting. God knows, I agree with you in principle, that nobody knows anything. I also feel that MOST ghost hunters leap to conclusions when they make any type of declaration, but this section of The Beyond isn’t for debunking, and telling people how they’re wrong. Its about people sharing their experiences so that others reading may be able to identify with them. It’s also about telling a good first hand story.

Your all so easy to jump to conclusions of ghosts …What if this shadow is what lives inside of you just sometimes …Or maybe we have discovered how to exsist in different dimensions …Would you be so scared if it was a person who worked for the government and was there to spy on you from a socialoligist point of view..No not there to hurt you but to study your reactions and maybe even bring you into this top secret experiment at sometime in your life … Some would say im crazy but then again you don’t know my story or what I have found out. Look outside of the box people..try to look with a science point of view and you just might be surprised at what theory you end up with..I have my facts but I can’t discuss that . Just know that we know very little about our bodies and our universe but the government has been studying us for a very long time. How would they get peoples permission to evaluate your everyday living situations ..Think about it!!! By not being seen ….Right? THINK PEOPLE!!

this was so sarcastic and everything, but it did have SOME good advice in it…or at least that’s what you’d like the nimwits who would actually do most of this to believe. this totally made my day. my favorite was the part of coming up with a name. here’s a good one: CPR, first three on the list. certified paranormal researchers, lol

Hi there,

I am from the uk and have read both parts of your article and it has opened my mind up to a lot of things, its certainly made me think twice about what i put down to paranormal activity, we do however combine the two,ghost hunts and paranormal investigations as when you are investigating buildings with your group and guests it would be pretty boring to someone who has never investigted before, you and some may not agree with this but it works very well when done properly even though you may see it as going against each other, personally i would love nothing more for a controlled experiment to prove that there is evidence that life after death does really exist.

Great read, sure makes you open your eyes!!!!!

My grandmother’s house is haunted by a ghost from the graveyard directly behind her house, and has been for the 30 years she has lived there. One night I was taking a nap in the upstairs guest bedroom and was having a disturbing dream that woke me up, and as I rolled over to look towards the door, which led to a hallway with a light on, I saw a dark figure close in over me! I jumped up and turned on a light over the bed, and nothing was there, but I could feel a lingering presence that made me very uneasy, so I ran downstairs to find my grandmother and tell her about it, and she said the same thing happened to her many times when she was sleeping.

I agree with “Amused”. Close-mindedness is on both sides of the fence.

However, I do lean favour towards the tone of the article. generally if you have to be told there is a face/person there and no-one can see it until it has been described, it is more than likely not there.

I’m even moving away as I don’t think there will ever be true evidence of ghosts caught on a still image. Even if you do get something that isn’t pareidola - the skeptics will instantly cry “photoshop”.

Fascinating article.

I believe I witnessed a time-slip whilst investigating Bodmin Gaol in Cornwall, England. Midway through a seance in a pitch-black room, the people in the circle with me faded away and the room lit up all around me - as though in daylight. There were people in the cells around me and deathly silent, as prisons were meant to be back there.

It is a fascinating topic that I will have to research more into soon!

The shreik of terror of an infant and a door that is not locked but will not open is something I’ve experienced with my son as well. He was only a couple months old at the time. Nothing was overturned and I saw no shadows, but the terror of those moments with both my wife and I trying frantically to get into his room still gives me chills… Is there any way to know what this phenomenon is or why it occurs? How many other families have experienced this?

I can relate too this, as I have had this happen to me and have a video clips of my daughter telling me how I was killed and how I’am going to die. I live today still with this in my home and my house blessed and no one seems to be able to help. I have had to deal with this for many years and would like some peace. I have tried many method’s and it does not go away, it is only getting worse. The pictures that I do have are only getting more clear every day to what they look like. I started taking pictures a couple of years ago because my family was going to put me in a mental hospital, so I started taking photos to prove I wasn’t crazy. I can’t just up an move, these things happen every where I go. Please let me know if anyone can help me, as I have only scared people away and no halp has been followed threw!!!

This particuler location belongs to a friend of mine and has provided some interesting phenomina over a long period of time. Some of the best and most clear EVP I have ever obtained came from this location. As you said it takes serious evidence to get me to the point that I feel confident that something paranormal is going on. So I will continue to work this location for a longer period of time to look for patterns and other evidence. Thats all we can do sometimes.
It is true that invvestigations can be hard to come by. So when things are slow, I go back to old ones and re work them. It can be very boring, and thats why I don’t live my life around this. I let it come to me.
