 Beyonder Investigation #2
Bath School Disaster Memorial Park Part 2
   Bath Township Michigan

Status: Completed

Well, as you can see, since the first investigation, we at The Beyond have started our own paranormal investigation team. As a team, we decided that our first investigation should be returning to a place that we were all familiar with. That way, we could get the feel for each other as investigators, and get the organization factor down for future investigations. We returned to The Bath School Disaster Memorial Park in Bath, Michigan.

I'm not going to go into the whole story about what happened at the site. If you read over my report about the LAST Bath investigation, you'll get the whole story.

This investigation was different from the last one because almost all, if not all of the investigators at the scene felt that there was no activity at all. It was completely uneventful compared to the last time each of us were there. So, I apologize This won't be much of a report, but It has to be documented.

The picture to the left is a good representative of the pictures that we had taken that night. There's not much going on, as you can see. Dark with one hazy orb is all that's there.  Most of our pictures were like that.

Even if then investigation was calm and nothing much happened, there were some things that were discussed during, and leading up to it that I think are worth mentioning exploring further. We DID test some different theories to see if we could provoke whatever may be there to show itself. Its a known fact that most of the people lost in the disaster were kids. One of the ideas was some of us brought toys to the scene to see if the kids could be persuaded to play with them.

One of us brought a doll, another brought a ball. I brought a Transformer. (Leave me alone! I have no dolls, and I 'm going to plead no comment on the other one.)

And, what's wrong with a Transformer? I got some flack about my choice of toy. I'm sure they were just teasing me (or at least half/teasing) but the idea, I think needs to be talked about. What's wrong with a Transformer?

Believe it or not, there was a lot that went into the attempt at answering that question. First off, the explosion took place in 1927. That was 79 years ago! Nobody has any SOLID evidence for or against the idea that ghosts experience the passage of time. Do they or don't they? I don't know. Nobody knows. Nobody can claim to know. If they DO experience the passage of time, and it's 79 years after the fact, then unless they're weird like me, toys aren't going to provoke them to do anything. On another note, imagine the hell of being in their shoes if this were the case. Watching as time passes while you're trapped in a limbo, unable to effect anything that happens. That would suck.

On the other hand, what if they had no knowledge of the passage of time, and are forever trapped with the minds of children? That too would suck. That's the ASSUMPTION in which we decided to proceed. This is where the 'what's wrong with a transformer' question comes in. It was said that children from 1927 would have no interest in a futuristic toy car. (He was transformed.) Why? Why would kids want that?

   My response...

Why the hell do kids do anything? Assuming that they ARE still kids, then to appeal to them, you have to try to think like one. Now when I was a kid, I'd play with a futuristic looking car. I'd play with a futuristic doll. I'd play with cars, snakes, crayfish, a hammer, rocks, a doorknob, fireworks, dead birds, I'd play with anything I could get my curious little hands on. Now, if I was like that, and almost every kid I've ever known was like that, and all the older people whom I've spoken to were like that when they were young...

Why would kids from 1927 be any different?

With all that in mind, using a Transformer(in car form) seems perfectly sound to me. Or at least as valid as using a ball or doll.

But...It doesn't matter anyway, Neither the ball, the doll, nor the Transformer provoked any sort of movement or communication with the alleged children of 1927. All that silly questioning and speculating, and we had no payoff.

Oh, in case anyone cares...It was Alternator 'Hound'.

Another thing, if you read the report from the last Bath investigation, you'd know that I was happy to see that the EMF meter was going strong while were taking pictures in the Northeast corner of the park. Well, we debunked those readings. As it turns out, there are power lines all over the place there, including underground which lead to outlets in posts sticking out of the ground. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't spirits there manipulating electromagnetic fields. I'm saying that there's no way to make that conclusion in light of this new information.

That goes to show you. With me, I'm going to give you the truth as I see it at any given time to the best of my ability. If it turns out that I was full of shit at one point in time, and I find that out, I'm more than willing to admit it. I won't sweep it under the rug and try to look good. The truth is at stake, and nobody learns from lies.

As for the rest of the evidence collected on this one, there wasn't much. We did get a few more hazy pictures of orbs. If you look below, you'll see a couple of them. They're really nothing spectacular. One member of my team, Joe captured some interesting audio though, and Tim got some weird pictures that none of us can really classify. All in all, the investigation wasn't a complete waste of time. We DID get pictures and audio, and we ruled out EMF meters for that location. In actuality, we learned more this time than we did last time. It just wasn't what we wanted to learn.
