The Purpose Of This Page
Since starting the Articles and Press sections of The Beyond, we've received quite a few "News Releases" from teams and investigators that had captured an anomaly in picture or audio file, and called a press release to show it off.

Unfortunately, teams and investigators capture anomalies every day, and honestly... It's just not news, so we couldn't publish their press releases.

With that in mind, I HATE turning people away. Every team or investigator wants to tell the world what they've captured. Not all teams or investigators get a lot of traffic on their websites for people to see their evidence. This site was designed to help investigators, and everyone else with their paranormal issues, and with an open mind. Displaying evidence for them should be no different.

So, the purpose of this area of the site is to NOT turn people away when they have evidence they wish to tell the world about. If you have evidence that you want to show off to everyone, and get some publicity for, keep reading. If not, and you just want to look at some paranormal evidence, just click the button directly below.
Submit your evidence information to BeyonderBill@yahoo.com!... And there's no need to be all stuffy about it. Lets be friendly. Tell me who you are, a little about your crew...whatever. :p

Or you can be stuffy and professional. It's up to you, I suppose.

To those of you that have evidence to submit...
I'm gonna talk plainly to you. This site needs an evidence section. I've been meaning to put one up for the longest time, but I never feel that the evidence that I've captured proves anything, or is even needed to be viewed. Yeah, I've captured things, but nothing that I'd think any other investigators would find compelling, and I'm not even gonna try with the skeptics.

So, I pass the buck to you. This could be a mutually beneficial thing. I get some content for the site, and my evidence page... YOU or your team get some links back to your site, and some publicity.
Submitting your evidence, WILL eventually get you some more traffic. I'm certain of it.

At this point while I'm typing this, The Articles & Editorials section has only been on the website for a couple of months. It already gets more traffic than any other section of the site. With that in mind, this new Evidence section, and it working the same way as the Articles section, we're expecting more of the same to put it mildly.

It's simple. You submit your stuff, and I put it up onto the site. Within minutes (usually) your submission will be viewed on other websites syndicated all over the net to those who have subscribed to the RSS feed. Might take a little bit to get some subscribers, but the Articles section is going strong. Again, I expect this to be the same.

I'm not necessarily trying to 'sell you' on the idea. I'm just telling you what I got on my mind. That's what I do.

Anyway... Here's the plan, and what we're looking for!

Important Things To know
~ Judging your evidence is not what this is about. I am not going to turn your evidence down if I don't believe in it. I'm going to give you the opportunity to show the world what you got, and let them decide. There IS the option for readers to comment, however.

~ You and your investigation team will get FULL CREDIT for everything you submit. I cannot stress this enough. I don't want credit for ANY of your work. There is a disclaimer in the evidence section stating this for both YOUR sake, and my own.

~ All paranormal evidence is welcome. We will accept everything from paranormal photos, to videos, to audio files. There IS an issue however that I HAVE to mention. That issue is bandwidth. I've worked hard on this site to make it as professional, and as well done as I can, but in the end, it's still just a small site run, and paid for by one guy, ME. I can't afford the bandwidth that it would take to host everyones video files. It's just impossible. With audio files, it's a different story, and photos, I have no problem with.

~ Video files, must be hosted elsewhere. I have set up a You Tube account to be used for this purpose. If you choose to submit video, I will upload it to this particular you tube account WITH YOUR PERMISSION. I will then embed your video into your evidence article. On you tube, I will make it clear that the file belongs to you, and your team so there is no confusion.

~ If you are interested in submitting your audio files or EVP, I will only be able to host the files if they are VERY small files. Bandwidth is a killer! The BEST option is to hotlink them directly from your teams site, so we can share the load. I mean, you most likely already have them hosted there anyway. We can make a compromise, and talk about how to set it up one way or another.

~ Evidence will not be mixed. We intend to separate types of evidence into categories to keep things organized and make it easy for readers to find what they're looking for. If you have both Photos, AND Videos to submit, you MAY submit them both. It's just that they will have to be submitted into separate entries, one for your pictures, and a different one for your audio.

~ You know how I said that "Evidence will not be mixed?" Well, there's an exception to that rule. If you capture a video of an anomaly, and ALSO capture a photo of the SAME anomaly... You may include the photo on your video evidence entry if you wish. Might want to include the video on your photo entry as well. We have no problem about being a little redundant if it means getting people to see your stuff.

~ Sometimes, paranormal teams quit investigating, or their websites go down. Whatever the case, if you are hosting your own files, and the evidence can no longer be viewed from here because of that fact, the evidence entry will be removed from The Beyond in its entirety. We can't have dead links here. Most likely being a webmaster yourself, I'm sure you will understand that.

~ PLEASE DO NOT USE ALL CAPS! Especially in the beginning of the entry. It makes the RSS Feed look goofy!

~ We encourage (but do not require) you to display our RSS feed on your website or link back. The more people that see the feed, the more people will see YOUR evidence.

Submission Guidelines & Instructions
Submission Instructions
Like on the other pages, this is very simple. If you have Evidence that you want to show the world, just email it to me. My email is BeyonderBill@yahoo.com. Just be clear about what you're sending.

PLEASE put it in a word file or something. The coding in the emails are goofy, and it makes it hard to transfer onto the site. Simply cutting, and pasting doesn't work for some silly reason.

Evidence Format
For all entries in this section, we would like them to remain uniform with one another to a certain degree. The reason for this is to make surfing the information easy for the reader to find what they're looking for.

Keep in mind, most of this stuff is more of a suggestion. You do what you want to do. It's your evidence, but I ask that you guys follow the Title & Author stuff to the letter. It will just help me do this right, and not want to kill myself.

Title & Author: The title of your entry will be the the name of the location that you have investigated, or where the evidence was captured. Also add the type of evidence that you're submitting to the title. It will be Audio(non EVP), EVP, Photo, or Video.

The author of your entry will be the name of your team, group, or site. This way, everyone will IMMEDIATELY know who is responsible for the evidence.

For example, if your team, P.R.I.C.K. (Paranormal Researchers & Investigators Canvassing Kentucky) is submitting some EVP's that you've captured in.. Um.. 'Massassi Temple' then your title and author would be...

Massassi Temple, Yavin IV (EVP)
~Written By P.R.I.C.K.~

Not too hard... Is it?

Opening Paragraph: This should be a SHORT paragraph summarizing the whole page...1 to 3 sentences, TOPS.

The reason for this is because, on the RSS feed that's going to show up on other sites, the reader is ONLY going to see the first few sentences. That's ALL they have to use to decide if they want to click, and read about your evidence. So, we better make it clear and to the point.

Example:
"This is a small collection of EVP evidence that our team has collected at Massassi Temple. The evidence was captured before the Rebel Alliance had destroyed the Death Star."

Investigation Information: The next thing you should add is information about the investigation. This is where you can have a little fun, and be a bit more personal if you wish. You'll want to inform the reader about a little history about the location, and where it is. Possibly and your opinions of the place. Maybe you'll talk about how your team enjoyed the investigation... Whatever.

Evidence: This is the meat and potatoes. It's very simple. For every piece of evidence you're submitting, write a little about it. Talk about what you think of it. Why do you think it is compelling? You MIGHT want to explain what you think it is, or you might wish to let the readers decide that for themselves. Say whatever you wish about that particular piece of evidence.

When sending your entry to me, PLEASE be clear what evidence file goes with what description, or paragraph.

Plug: Lastly, you may plug your operation if you wish. Don't go crazy with it. A few sentences is all that you'll need. Tell the reader who you are, and to come visit your website for whatever reason, and provide a link. If you wish, you may provide a 468 x 60 px advertisement banner. If you wish to have a banner, and don't have one. Ask me. I'll be glad to design one for your site.

Lastly, we'd like to accept everything that is sent to us, but in my time working with this site, I've learned that submissions aren't always legible, and sometimes aren't even in any real human language. If the evidence is written in gibberish, or TOO much of a 'fixer upper', I'm afraid we will not be able to publish it.
